Carl Junction Fire Dept. worked a structure fire around 3:30 am this morning at 107 Kelly Lane. One person was at the home at the time of the fire. They were able to escape the home safely. The fire started in the garage or attic and the fire marshal is investigating. The house is a total loss. More>>

(July 29, 2014) – CVR Refining confirms that at approximately 12:30 a.m. on July 29, 2014, a fire was reported at the Coffeyville refinery’s isomerization unit.The fire was extinguished at approximately 1:18 a.m.A shutdown of the refinery was conducted.
