Drinking water violations

Thirty nine drinking water systems are in trouble with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

The DNR says the water systems have repeatedly failed to conduct the necessary testing for bacteria as required by law.

The DNR says the lack of testing does not mean the public's health is in danger, but the tests are important to ensure water supplies are safe.
