Joplin authorities investigate a two-car crash that killed three and sent a total of seven people to the hospital.

The crash occurred on 4th Street east of Range Line just before 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The Joplin Police Department's major crash team say a Chevy truck traveling east turned left in front of a westbound Kia Sedona.

Seven of the eight people in the vehicles were taken to the hospital.

That is where three people died from their injuries.

As of this point no names have been released, but authorities say one of the victims was a pregnant woman.
