WASHINGTON (AP) - Ivory Latta scored 17 points and the Washington Mystics held off the Tulsa Shock 82-77 on Friday night despite making only field goal in the fourth quarter. Tulsa (8-17) closed to 70-69 with 2:20 remaining by outscoring Washington 17-2. Skylar Diggins led Tulsa with 19 points. The Shock have lost 10 of their last 12 games.

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma State equestrian Lindsey McMullen has been selected to compete in the 2014 American Quarter Horse Association Horsemanship Challenge. The event is part of the AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City scheduled for November. McMullen is one of eight riders selected to compete at the event. The selection is made based on the riders' 2013-14 individual statistics.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Barons have signed centerman Jason Williams to an American Hockey League contract. Williams played the last two seasons with Ambri-Piotta in the Swiss Elite League. He has played 455 games in the NHL during his career.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced the hiring of a volunteer assistant baseball coach from Oklahoma State University. Roland Fanning joins the UALR staff after serving as a volunteer assistant at OSU and five seasons as an assistant coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State. Fanning played collegiately at Carl Albert State College and Northern Oklahoma-Enid before finishing his career at Southeastern Oklahoma where he graduated in 2005.
