
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — The Pitt State baseball team scored a pair of runs to rally from a one-run deficit to post a 9-8 victory in game two and sweep a pair of games from MIAA rival Truman Saturday (Apr. 28). The Gorillas posted a 4-1 victory over the Bulldogs in game one.
Ryan Bilovesky belted a one-out, two-run homer in the top of the ninth to help Pitt State (20-24, 18-18 MIAA) rally from an 8-7 deficit heading into the final frame. Ryan Foss doubled with one out one batter ahead of Bilovesky.
Matt Stalcup (7-5) scattered six hits in the opener, walking one and fanning nine batters to pick up the win. Truman (16-28, 13-25 MIAA) stranded four baserunners in the contest. Cousins belted a two-run homer in the cnest.
Bilovesky broke open a 1-1 game with a two-run homer in the seventh inning of the opeer.
The Gorillas and Bulldogs will return to action with a 10 a.m. doubleheader Sunday (Apr. 9).
