GALENA FIRES Five fires break out in Galena, Kansas overnight.  Shortly after 11:00 p.m. both Galena and Baxter springs fire departments responded to the fires, one of them located at the intersection of North Main Street and Clark which spread to a stack of railroad ties.  The Galena Assistant Fire Chief says he believes all five fires were intentionally set.  The fire is now contained and no injuries have been reported. A former Carl Junction resident is clinging to life, hospitalized with the flu. 21-year-old Josh Petty and his family now live in Milwaukee. As of yesterday (Feb 14), Josh was at Froedtert Hospital in the ICU. He contracted an aggressive strain of he flu and began showing symptoms just days before his health deteriorated. Pittsburg Man Arrested for Stalking

47-year-old Peter Rosen of Pittsburg is arrested for stalking and violations of a protection from stalking order. Pittsburg police say Rosen was arrested and booked at the Crawford County Sheriff's Office. He's being held on a $2,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing. Crash Victim Dies from Injuries Video included

Jennifer Dumas, who was involved in a head-on collision last Wednesday (Feb7), has died from her injuries this morning. JPD says the case will now be referred to the Newton County Prosecutor. Police say the 28-year-old crossed the center line on Highway 43 near the Petro I-44 truck stop.
