    The Joplin Police Department asks for the public's help in finding 28-year-old Sarah E. Burton of Joplin. She was last seen walking in the area of 10th and Rex on July 16th, 2018 and reported missing to JPD on July 20th, 2018. Burton is described as 5"07, 160 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes.     The Nevada Police Department received a call on August 15th, 2018 about a deceased woman in a motel room. According to Lt. Steve Basto, it appeared she had been dead for some time, however, authorities are waiting on autopsy results to determine how long. Lt. Basto says they do not suspect foul play at this time. A detective is investigating which is standard procedure with any death, suspicious or not. Police would not confirm what motel she was found in and have not released...

    Tuition is still going up at Missouri Southern State University, but it's tweaking the cost increase to credit hours to avoid a state fine. Missouri Southern's Board of Governors approved a 15 percent increase in student tuition last April, upping credit hours by $30. But state education law doesn't allow tuition increases beyond the consumer price index. To avoid a $1.1 million fine, MSSU adjusted down the tuition increase to $20 more per credit.
