Zach grew up in the Pittsburg and Frontenac, Kansas area and joined us as a 17 year old incoming high school senior in July 2006. He has been a photographer, news assistant, and in July 2010 was named a reporter.
In addition to working at our station, Zach interned at KMBC-TV in Kansas City, Missouri during the Summer of 2010.
He graduated from Pittsburg State University in May 2011, majoring in Communications with a minor in Political Science.
At the age of three, Truman Oaks was staring death in the face after being run over by a 3,800 pound SUV. Pinned underneath the rear tire Truman was unconscious and not breathing.
On Mother's Day in 2009, Lora Hicks was getting ready for bed on when she started having pain in her chest. Her husband took her to the hospital where she had an emergency heart surgery.
