Treasurer Eric Schmitt will become Missouri attorney general

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Republican Gov. Mike Parson has named state Treasurer Eric Schmitt to replace Sen.-elect as Missouri's attorney general. Parson appointed the 43-year-old Republican on Tuesday. The attorney general's seat will be open once Hawley joins the U.S. Senate in January. Hawley unseated Democratic Sen. Authorities search for a vehicle involved in a high-speed chase through Lamar, Missouri. It happened on November 12th, 2018, around 7:40 a.m. The deputy first saw the vehicle near O Highway and 160 west of Lamar. The deputy then saw the vehicle travel east on 160 until it reached the substation by Barton County Electric where it then turned and went back west on 160 highway.
