ELK CITY, KAN. - In Elk City, Kansas law enforcement receiving notice that a woman had gone swimming in the Shell Beach area when she went under.

Law enforcement located Billie Lukens, 31, of Coffeyville about 20 minutes later.

Lukens was not able to be revived and she was pronounced dead at the hospital.

After an investigation the sheriff reports alcohol was likey involved.

An autopsy has been requested.
