A Kansas man once featured on America's Most Wanted is behind bars for the second time.
An eight-hour standoff began Monday morning around 8:30 when authorities say James Reed of Thayer, Kansas robbed a couple in Washington County, Oklahoma and stole their car.
Authorities in Neosho County, Kansas heard about the incident and later found Reed in his barn.
Tuesday morning we reported that the eight hour standoff was between Reed and Thayer police. It was actually the Neosho County sheriff's deputies who were involved in the standoff with Reed.
They arrested Reed and took him to the Neosho County jail in Erie.
Reed may also be extradited to Oklahoma to face charges in Washington County.
In 1996 Reed was arrested for beating a Neosho County sheriff's deputy. He fled to Colorado and was featured on America's Most Wanted.
Reed was later arrested and served time for a number of charges including burglary, aggravated escape and attempted 2nd degree murder.
He was released from prison this past July.
