PITTSBURG, KAN. - Churches, businesses, and student groups are teaming up to put together a community dinner in Pittsburg, Kansas. The tradition is nearly 30 years strong and all of the food is donated.
More than 600 meals were served for Thanksgiving at St. John's Lutheran Church.
This year the Pittsburg High School's Consumer Sciences Group and the National Honor Society also lended a hand.
"I've done this for over ten years," says volunteer Lance Davis. "I've volunteered to do this for ten years and I've seen the same people over and over - that every year this is a part - it's just a tradition with them that this is a part of Thanksgiving for them."
