Joplin woman charged with attempted robbery of a loan center

A Joplin, Missouri woman is in jail charged with first degree robbery after trying to get money from the Missouri Loan Center Friday night.

Trudy Sherrick, 50, is accused of wearing a Halloween mask and flashing a knife while demanding money.

After workers told her they did have any, she left.

Joplin police later arrested the woman by a McDonald's near the Loan Center.  Police recovered the knife and mask.
