Updated March 23, 2011 at 5:25 PM CST: Marvin Morgan waived his preliminary hearing yesterday and was bound over for trial.
Morgan is charged with first degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.
Morgan is accused of stabbing his wife in the neck with a knife leaving a six-inch wound.
The wife survived the incident.
Posted January 5, 2011 at 12:30 PM CST: Marvin Morgan, 56, of Neosho, Missouri is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action. Morgan is accused of cutting his wife's neck with a knife.
Court documents say officers were called to the Neosho home and found pools of blood and noticed that Morgan's wife, Jerusha, had a cut on the side of her neck.
According to the affidavit, officers say the cut was about six inches and deep enough they could see the muscles moving inside her neck.
The knife believed to have caused the wound was found in Marvin Morgan's pocket and was covered with blood and the victim's hair.
