A Pittsburg church that stood at the corner of 6th and Joplin is torn to the ground.
A local historian tells us that they are not even sure when the building at 607 North Joplin Street was built. It is known that the church has housed at least two denominations over the years.
Richard McClure lives nearby and says over the years parishioners have moved away and eventually the church became just an empty structure.
"All the members just dwindled out and moved to other towns until there was hardly anybody left," McClure says.
The property has been sold but the new owner has not decided what to build on the property.
