Savory Italian Bread (aired 1/18/2011)

Ingredients

  • 2 - 2½ cups soy flour blend
  • 1 package rapid rise yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons Italian salad dressing
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Place soy flour blend, yeast, sugar, Italian seasoning, salt in large bowl.
  • Add vegetable oil and warm water.
  • Stir to form soft dough.
  • Knead about 5 minutes then cover dough and let rest about 20 minutes.
  • Press or roll dough into 12-inch circle on greased baking sheet.
  • Brush dough with Italian Salad Dressing.
  • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and cheeses.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
