
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. --Pitt State broke open a three-point game with a 21-0 run early in the second half to claim an 85-68 road win over Lincoln Saturday (Feb. 12) at Jason Gym.
The Gorillas (13-9, 9-9 MIAA) led just 42-39 before holding the Blue Tigers (2-20, 0-18 MIAA) scoreless for just over eight minutes of play.
JaVon McGee led five Pitt State players in double figures with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Andra Bailey added a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Adrian Herrera, Drake Green and Eric Marshall all chipped in with 11 points for the Gorillas.
Cedric Ridle, Jr., led all scorers with 22 points for Lincoln, while Pierre DeClue added 19 points.
The Gorillas will travel to Emporia, Kan., to face Emporia State Wednesday (Feb. 16). Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. (CST) at White Auditorium.
