Skyler Bowlin scores 10 points in Division II All-Star Game

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Missouri Southern senior point guard Skyler Bowlin scored ten points and pulled down six boards in helping the West All-Stars defeat the East, 96-91 tonight in the 2011 Reese's NABC Division II All-Star Game. 

Bowlin started and went 4-8 form the field and 2-6 from long-range as he collected his 10 points and six rebounds in 20 minutes of play. Fellow MIAA players Logan Stutz of Washburn had 11 points, while Dominique Jones of Fort Hays scored eight. 

Indianapolis' Darrius Adams (22 points, 8 rebounds) and Pfeiffer's Chris Woods (19 points, 10 rebounds) were named their team's respective MVP's. 

Bowlin was named to two different All-American teams this year, while being a finalist for the National Player of the Year award. He was the MIAA Player of the Year, as well as repeating as MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and was the South Central Region Player of the Year. 

He is the Lions' all-time leader in three pointers with 224, while his 1,664 career points rank him fourth all-time. His 568 assists and 265 steals rank 3rd & 2nd all-time and free-throw percentage of .830 ranks second all-time. He led the MIAA in steals and ranks 19th in d-2, while ranking 2nd in the MIAA in assists and 13th in d-2 in that category.
