Bowlin named to Basketball Times All-American Team

JOPLIN -- Missouri Southern senior guard Skyler Bowlin has been named to his third All-American team as the Arkansas native was a second-team pick of Basketball Times Magazine the publication has announced. 

Bowlin was already named an All-American by Daktronics (third team) and the NABC (first-team), as well as being named first-team All-Region and the Region Player of the Year by both groups.

He was the unanimous MIAA Player of the Year, this season, as well as a repeat selection as the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year. He has been a member of the MIAA's All-Defensive team all four years of his career, while being named All-MIAA the past three seasons. He was also named to this year's MIAA All-Tournament Team. 

He is the Lions' all-time leader in three pointers with 224, while his 1,664 career points rank him fourth all-time. His 568 assists and 265 steals rank 3rd & 2nd all-time and free-throw percentage of .830 ranks second all-time. He led the MIAA in steals and ranks 19th in d-2, while ranking 2nd in the MIAA in assists and 13th in d-2 in that category.

Thanks to the generosity of several anonymous donors, the university is installing new turf on its baseball and softball fields. The summer project will provide a wall-to-wall AstroTurf brand synthetic turf on all playing surfaces, batting cages and bullpen areas.
