Tigers Sweep Pair From Gorillas Saturday

PITTSBURG -- The Fort Hays State baseball team swept a pair of games from Pitt State Saturday (Apr. 2) at Al Ortolani Field. The Tigers claimed 12-8 and 9-4 wins over the Gorillas.

FHSU (12-13, 9-10 MIAA) rallied from an 8-5 deficit in game one and the Tigers broke open a 5-3 game to pull away for the victory in the nightcap against Pitt State (11-14, 7-14 MIAA).

The two teams will complete their four-game MIAA series with a single game at 12 Noon (CDT) Sunday Apr. 3).

Ryan Reddick drove in three runs in the opener, while Brian Dean and Jeremy Filer each had a pair of hits and two RBIs apiece.

Chase Barnes doubled, tripled and scored twice in the game two for the Gorillas.
