Monday AM April 25th

Good Monday morning everyone.  I hope you all had a great holiday weekend and are ready for the new work week.  It looks like we are going to have to deal with one more day of showers and thunderstorms across the area.  Again today we will see several batches of rain.  Over the past 5 days we have picked up anywhere from 1-7" of rain.  1" in our NW counties to 7" in our SE counties.  So we need to watch out for flash flooding through the day time hours today.  Here is what I am expecting today.

Showers and thunderstorms scattered through the morning hours.  I do think we could see some strong storms, but I am really not looking at severe storms this morning.  By the afternoon, we will see scattered thunderstorms that could be severe.  Our main threats will be very heavy amounts of rain, dangerous lightning, large hail and even a few isolated tornadoes.

You can see the amount of rain that is possible during the afternoon.  This isn't something that we need to see.  So we will watch these storms through the afternoon and evening hours.  Then I think they will push east during the overnight hours tonight.

After this system passes, we will get a chances to dry out.  However, there is slight chances for rain on Wednesday and then again on Saturday.  I also want to get into the details on my theories and my pattern and what will happen for the month of May.  We will get into this a little later today.

I will keep you completely updated on here and on facebook.  If you haven't added me on facebook, then go right ahead as I put weather updates on there.

Doug

May (1st-7th):

A mild start to the week with slight thunderstorm chances on Sunday.  A stronger storm system will move in on Wednesday and Thursday(4th & 5th) with severe weather chances.  Cooler and drier as we work towards the weekend.

May (8th-14th):

A warm start to the week with thunderstorm chances from Tuesday through Thursday.  This could easily be a severe weather event and needs to be watched.  This should be a pretty strong storm system.  Then a little cooler for the weekend.

May (15th-21st):

Thunderstorm chances return here at the beginning of the week.  We will see a couple of waves giving us chances through Wednesday.  Also another system on Friday and Saturday.
