PITTSBURG -- The Pitt State baseball team dropped a 12-1 non-conference decision to Tabor Tuesday (Apr. 26) at Al Ortolani Field.
Jeff Hutton went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and five RBIs to help Tabor improve to 41-9 on the season. Pitt State dropped to 17-24 on the season.
Five Tabor pitchers limited the Gorillas to one run and two hits in the contest. Colton Leet had an RBI single in the third inning for Pitt State.
The Gorillas will return to action Saturday (Apr. 30) when they open a four-game MIAA series against Central Missouri at Warrensburg, Mo. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. (CDT).
