Andy Hogenmiller finishes tied for 45th at NCAA Super Regional

Updated:

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Missouri Southern junior Andy Hogenmiller finished tied for 45th today after the final round of the 2011 NCAA Division II Super Regional held at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Ky.

Hogenmiller had a rough second round today as competitors played 36 holes, making up for yesterday's round that was postponed due to rain. He was three over par on the front and three over on the back for a six-over 78 in round two. Hogenmiller, however, rebounded and made three birdies over the final 18 holes and finished one-over for the day.

All together, Hogenmiller finished the tournament 11 over par with his best round coming in the final of the day.

The super regional pitts two different regions (midwest and south central) in the same tournament and the top five teams, regardless of region make it to the national tournament. The top two scoring individuals not on an advancing team also make it.

Abilene Christian and Central Oklahoma both tied for the team title, while Cameron, Missour-St. Louis and Central Missouri will all advance past this regional with individuals from Wayne State and West Texas traveling too.

The National Tournament will be held in Florence, Alabama, hosted by the University of North Alabama.
