Good morning. We have made it over halfway through the work week and the past couple of days have been pretty nice. I think today in general looks nice. But we will see a few scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. These will mainly be in SW MO and north of I-44. I am not expecting anything severe.
Our next wave will affect us late Friday night and Saturday morning. This will give us some scattered showers and thunderstorms. Now where the thunderstorms set up, we could see some heavy amouts of rain. This is something I will also watch closely, but I am not expecting anything severe.
Temperatures really start to warm up over the weekend. We will see highs well into the 60s. I also think we will see chances for scattered thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon as well.
Our next strong system rolls out on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you look at the pattern and the cycle, this goes right back to the blizzard of February 1st. Remember my theories are we are in a 50 day pattern. So this system will be fairly strong as it rolls into the central plains. But I think it depends on where the fronts set up and when to determine our severe weather chances. This is something we need to watch closely. Right now it looks like a few scattered storms on Tuesday with the best chances on Wednesday. I will give you an update later this evening. Here is Brian's 7-day forecast because I didn't work on Wednesday.
