
INDIANAPOLIS — The Pitt State men's basketball team ranked 10th in NCAA Division II in home game attendance during the 2010-11 season based upon figures released by the NCAA.
The Gorillas averaged 2,250 fans in 12 home dates under first-year head coach Kevin Muff.
Pitt State ranked second among MIAA schools on the list, behind Fort Hays State which ranked sixth nationally averaging 2,498 fans per game.
Northern State (S.D.) led Division II in 2010-11, averaging 3,016 fans. Washburn (11th, 2166 avg) and Central Missouri (12th, 2129 avg) also ranked in the top 15 on the national list.
As a conference, the MIAA led Division II in attendance with league schools averaging 1330 fans. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference was second with a 1321-fan average.
