Brian Davis:
Good Evening everyone, There will be that chance of a few storms over the area on Friday and Friday night along a warm front area as temperatures will be on the rise over the area. Severe chances will remain quite low at this time. Memorial Day is looking nice with mostly sunny skies. The risk of thunderstorm will be low at this time. Weather will remain a bit chilly tonight but no storms are expected. Here is the latest severe outlook and it does not include our area at this time.

Doug Heady:
Good Tuesday morning. For all of you in the Joplin metro, I hope things are getting better. To all who have direct connections, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am doing a little better. I think the past 3 and a half days are just a pure blur for me. I am still really down about all of this. I feel so bad for everyone that is effected by this.
At least the weather is looking pretty calm for us today. We are rolling right along with my theories on the pattern this year. Remember we are in a 50 day recurring pattern. This will continue through the summer months and then start the transition into our new pattern in the late summer and early fall. We are right on track and I still believe the next month is going to be fairly active. I have researched this pattern to death and continue to come up with new theories so I can get even better at long range forecasting. I have been developing this pattern now for 12 years and will continue to do so. This is just a weird pattern this year. A lot to research when the summer months come around and our weather slows a bit.
So what about the next few days? I think today will be fine with partly sunny skies and highs into the upper 60s. That is well shy of our average high of 80 for this time of the year. As a warm front advances in on Friday we will have slight chances to see a few PM pop-up storms. This chances will stick around for the weekend as the front stays over the area. Now I just don't think we will have much moisture to work with, so they will be scattered. We will have a slight severe threat, but that is it at this time.
Our next wave moves in on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. However, I think this wave will rotate just far enough north that it will just give us slight chances for thunderstorms. This is definitely good news, but needs to be watched.
Here is a look at your latest 7-day forecast.
Doug
