Garrow Media donates $5,000 to Joplin tornado relief

St. Louis (August 10, 2011) - Garrow Media of St. Louis, Missouri, donated $5,000 the American Red Cross's Joplin tornado relief effort. Dan Garrow, the company's founder, presented the check to Corie Story of the St. Louis chapter of the Red Cross on August 1st, 2011.

Throughout the spring, a client of Garrow Media – Dry Basement Householder Systems – gave customers a chance to donate 10% of their basement waterproofing or foundation repair service contract to the American Red Cross.

Once Dry Basement reached their $20,000 goal, Garrow Media, an internet marketing firm, made an additional $5,000 donation.

"We're happy to help our neighbors in Joplin. We're all in this together, and as a business, that means doing what we can to help the community,"  Dan Garrow said. Other community projects by Garrow Media have included: 

  • Creating and maintaining a free site for The Burke Center for Youth, a treatment facility for abused and neglected boys located in Texas.
  • Complimentary Web design and marketing for Essence Happens, a company that is restoring hope to those suffering from the effects of Borderline Personality Disorder.
  • Financial support to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
  • Financial support to the YMCA
  • Financial support to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
