Mistrial in case of former Joplin Boys and Girls Club employee accused of having sexual contact with a boy

Updated:

After several votes the jury was unable to make a decision.  Now, a judge has declared a mistrial in case against Christopher Foley.

Foley, 30, is accused of having sexual contact with a boy who was under the age of 12.  Foley had formerly been employed by the Joplin Boys and Girls Club. Foley took the witness stand in Jasper County court on this, the second day of the trial, and denied the charges against him.  The defense claims the boy lied about the abuse.

The jury has been deliberating late Wednesday morning.
