
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Adam Volkert (Pittsburg State) and Marlee Tegenkamp (Missouri Southern) have been named MIAA Cross Country Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 24 as selected by a conference SID panel.
MIAA MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Adam Volkert, Jr., Pittsburg State
Volkert raced to a decisive victory in the Missouri Southern Dual Wednesday (Sept. 21) at Joplin, Mo. The Lee's Summit, Mo., native won the eight-kilometer race in 24 minutes, 8.90 seconds, crossing the finish line nearly 20 seconds ahead of his closest competitor.

MIAA WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Marlee Tegenkamp, Jr., Missouri Southern
Tegenkamp placed second at the MSSU/PSU Dual with a 5K time of 17:33.60. The junior from Lee's Summit, Mo., was the top collegiate finisher at the dual, trailing only former Lion Ashley Bunch, who was running unattached.
