Wednesday, February 22 --------------------------------------

Public meeting to discuss new aquatic facility | 7 p.m. at the Joplin Athletic Complex, 3301 West 1st Street in Joplin, Missouri.  A Kansas City firm will make a presentation.  Funding for the aquatic facility is available through the Parks and Stormwater Sales Tax renewal that voters passed in August 2011.  The aquatic facility is proposed for a Memorial Day 2013 opening.

Crawford County Saddle Club Shodeo | 2 p.m. at the Diamond 6D arena in Frontenac, Kansas. | Saddle Series- Barrels only. Open to all ages, $25.00 entry fee plus $7.00 arena fee (arena fee waived if paid $10.00 to ride in regular shodeo). This class will run directly after 51 & Over age group. Will pay back $15.00 to 1st place and $10.00 to 2nd place each show. Barrel Saddle will be awarded to the overall high point winner at the end of Winter Series.

Spring Shopping Expo | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lamplighter Inn & Suites, 4020 Parkview Drive, Pittsburg, Kansas.  Merchants from around the area come together to offer their products and services under one roof.  Admission is free.
