Bacon stuffed mushrooms (aired Dec. 13, 2011)

Ingredients

• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 c sour cream
• 1/2 package Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix (or to taste)
• 4 slices bacon, cooked and diced
• 2 green onions, diced
• 1/4 c butter
• 1 box button mushrooms, fresh
• shredded cheese

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Cube butter and put in the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan.
3. Wipe mushrooms clean with a paper towel and remove stems. Place on top of butter.
4. Bake mushrooms for 30 minutes or until slightly softened.
5. In a medium bowl stir until well combined: cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch mix.
6. Fold in bacon and green onions.
7. Fill mushrooms with filling and bake for another 15 minutes.
8. Top with shredded cheese and allow to melt.
