The body of a missing man in southeast Kansas has been recovered. A team using sonar scanning located the body of Kennon Landry more than 100 yards from where his pickup had rolled near a river. He was found under brush in about six feet of water.
Landry had been missing since Friday December 2nd when an oil worker found his truck rolled near a river, but did not find Landry's body.
More than 250 volunteers had joined the search, at least 30 horses and a number of dogs and ATV's also assisted the search of more than 20 square miles, even after the county called off the official search three days after he was reported missing.
On Saturday December 17 a Texas recovery team using scanning sonar located Landry's body.
The KBI has been involved in the investigation.
An autopsy is now underway.
