Good evening, folks. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the sunshine and warm temperatures today after a dreary Friday. I thought we'd hit 43 for a high today, but we actually topped out at 44 during the afternoon. Being a meteorologist with the drive to get the forecast dead accurate, I usually get a little miffed about missing a forecast by a little bit. However... Considering it's mid-December and we were warmer than we were expecting, I don't mind that at all! We're actually going to continue the warming trend as we look ahead to the new work week, but that's not the only change I'm keeping an eye on...
Current Radar:
We don't have a spec of rain showing up on our radar and the skies will stay mostly clear for the rest of tonight. Despite winds coming from the south, light winds and clear skies will allow temperatures to drop off again, but it will not be as chilly as last night. We should have 28 degrees by the time most of us wake up tomorrow morning.
Sunday starts off mostly sunny, but clouds will work back into the area heading into Sunday evening and Sunday night ahead of the next frontal system moving in from the northwest.

This front is what will keep us a bit dreary and wet for a good portion of the work-week ahead. The rain chances really don't pick up until late Monday night and this front will take it's time moving through. The rain looks to stick around for Tuesday, Wednesday and finally moves out by lunchtime on Thursday. If there's any consolation with this front, the winds ahead of it will allow us to reach the 50s for highs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. However, we do look to cool back down into the 30s and 40s for next weekend ahead of the next potential storm system. We'll keep our eyes on that as well. The 2nd half of December looks to be pretty active around the Four States.
