    A truck driver in a crash that killed four people, including a Joplin resident, is charged five months later. The crash happened on November 21st, 2017 outside of Saint Louis, Illinois. Madison County, IL State Attorney Tom Gibbons says 54-year-old Mohamad Y. Jama was driving too fast in a construction zone on Interstate 55 near the community of Hamel when his tractor-trailer slammed into other vehicles that had slowed or stopped.     The Joplin Police Department responded to a crash this morning (April 19) around 9:50. Authorities say Brian R. Taylor was driving west on Murphy Blvd when he crossed the center of the road, drove off the side and hit an electronic traffic control box on the southwest corner of Murphy Blvd and Connecticut Avenue in Joplin. Taylor was taken to Freeman Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:24 a.m. The incident is under investigation, but authorities say it appear...
