Substance abuse treatment facility reopens in Joplin

JOPLIN, MISSOURI -

Ozark Center lost eight of its facilities in the May 22 tornado, including the substance abuse treatment facility New Directions.

Today's reopening ceremony took place inside New Directions at 3010 McClelland Boulevard.

The Center recognized two patients who have had success overcoming their addictions through help from Ozark Center.

New Directions has 14 residential substance abuse beds and four private detoxification rooms.
