Bill aims to put more storm shelters in Missouri

Updated:

Representative Bill Lant is sponsoring a bill to put more storm shelters in Missouri.  It would offer a one-time income tax deduction up to $2,500 to purchase and install a shelter.

Lant is seeking a maximum of $2 million per year, allowing 800 to participate on a first-come, first-served basis.

The bill would only apply to shelters made in America and would expire in six years if authorized.
