Good afternoon, everyone. Hopefully, everyone has been having a good Valentine's Day or SAD Day (Single's Awareness Day for those of us, including me, promoting the cause, LOL). I have to say it's amazing how fast the snow has come and gone. I could barely see specs of white on the ground both heading home from work last night and heading into work today. Believe it or not, we're looking at thunderstorms trying to get going later on overnight and into your Wednesday... Only in the Four-States, right?! Let's look into the next 48 hours...
Current Radar:
As of 3:30 PM, we don't have a lot to talk about on the radar. We're just seeing some light showers popping up in the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma. As far as the rest of your Valentine's Day and Night, we're looking pretty good. Despite clouds on the increase, we'll see temperatures a bit milder compared to last night with lows around 39°. However, look at the high-resolution FutureTrack heading into 5:30 AM...

Overnight, we have an upper-level low working in conjunction with a surface low-pressure system moving in from the west. Combine that with some warmer air and a little instability, we will see showers and some thunderstorms pop up. Doug and I are convinced that the storms for Wednesday will NOT be severe. With that in mind, we look to have enough instability to get a few strong storms with gusty winds and maybe some hail. After we all get situated at work and school by 9:30 AM...

The picture doesn't look that much better. We'll continue to get socked with clouds, showers and thunderstorms throughout the day until we start to clear things out tomorrow night. Thursday doesn't look that bad at all once we get the rain chances out. We've got mostly sunny skies on tap with temperatures anywhere between the upper 40s and lower 50s for afternoon highs.
Doug will fill you all in on the next seven days later on this evening.

Here is your latest 7-day forecast.
LONG RANGE FORECAST
Next Tuesday-Saturday:
Rain chances will continue on Tuesday. Right now it doesn't look like we will get cold enough to switch over to snow. Another weak wave on Friday with slight chances for showers. Then cooling down for the weekend.
February 25th-March 3rd:
A cool start to the week with our next storm system moving in. This will give us rain or snow chances on Sunday, Monday and probably into Tuesday. We will dry out for the middle of the week and warm up towards the weekend. Then our next system moves in with rain chances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
March 4th-10th:
Sunday will still have rain or snow chances in the forecast. Then we will cool down and dry out for most of the week. We will see temperatures warm up a bit for the weekend with a weak wave and a chance for a few showers.
March 11th-17th:
A stronger system right at the beginning of the week. This will give us rain or even thunderstorm chances on Sunday and Monday. Then we will cool down with rain and snow chances on Wednesday and Thursday. We should dry out and stay fairly cool into the weekend.
