Candy House Chocolate Factory morning news tour

KOAM Morning News anchors Dave Pylant and Tawnya Bach recently toured the Candy House Chocolate Factory in Joplin.

The chocolate factory is located at 510 S. Kentucky Ave.

The two anchors tried their hand at chocolate-making and formed chocolate into pre made molds, learned how chocolate gets its shine, dipped strawberries in chocolate, made English toffee, and battled the chocolate-coating machine made famous in the classic "I Love Lucy" episode where they're working in the chocolate factory.

    The one year anniversary kicked off bright and early this morning with a memorial service at Freeman Hospital West to honor those who helped save lives and those whose lives were saved. Freeman CEO Paula
