Southeast Kansas school bus collision leaves one dead

One man is dead after a crash involving a school bus in Southeast Kansas.

The accident happened at 18,000 and Ness Road north of Altamont.

Crash reports say after the collision, the suburban left the roadway, overturned, and struck a utility pole.

The driver of the suburban, Andrew Simmons of Edna, died at the scene.

No injuries reported by the driver or occupants of the school bus.
