Illusionist engages Pittsburg elementary students

Some elementary students in Pittsburg got a surprise today. Illusionist and magician Kevin Spencer visited Meadowlark, Nettels, Lakeside and Westside elementary schools.

Spencer spent an hour teaching about magic at each elementary school.

"Magic is all about patterns and sequences, they have to do those tricks in a very specific order or the magic doesn't happen, so it is a great way to teach all of those very basic skills that you and I take for granted every day, but to teach them in a way that is fully engaging, motivating, and to exciting to them as a kid," says Spencer.

Spencer also has a performance at Pittsburg's Memorial Auditorium Friday night at 7:30.
