Joplin Rotary and Habitat for Humanity break ground on new home

Updated:

A groundbreaking ceremony in Joplin starts the dream of a new home for a family affected by last year's tornado.

The Joplin Rotary Clubs and the Joplin Habitat for Humanity held the groundbreaking at 2322 Kentucky today.

Donations from Rotarians around the world following the May tornado are going towards building the house.

The family says they're very excited to partner with Joplin Habitat and are grateful for the opportunity to become a homeowner.
