An annual third grade program was held today in Parsons, Kansas for Arbor Day.
Each class did a skit, learned about trees, and then helped plant a tree.
"Every year we find that people have lived here all their lives and they have never been to the arboretum," says master gardener Robin Goddard. "Many of them don't even know how to plant a tree, which at their age they may not know how to but we want them to explore the area, know that they can come out here any time, there is no charge. You can have lunch here, you can play disc golf, you can just walk on the trails and just enjoy the scenery."
