Hose cutting at new Joplin fire station

The first in 30 years, the City of Joplin celebrates the opening of its new fire station.

On Saturday Mayor Melodee Colbert-King cut the ribbon for Fire Station 6.

Fire crews and residents also took part in a few traditions - breaking a hose is a fireman's way of cutting a ribbon.

Fire crews also washed every wheel of a fire truck before pushing it into the garage by hand.
