While they last, a limitednumber of free native tree and shrub saplings are available for pick-up at theJoplin Conservation Office. The current selection includes: black walnut, blackoak, flowering dogwood, pin oak, redbud, shumard oak, and wild plum trees; andelderberry, hazelnut, spicebush, and witch hazel shrubs. Stop by the office,Monday through Friday, anytime between 8 am to 5 pm. For more information, pleasecontact the Missouri Department of Conservation Joplin Office at 417-629-3423.
