Convoy of Hope is hosting its second annual Restore Fest in Joplin tomorrow at Landreth Park. The event features numerous artists and activities throughout the day.
For every ticket sold the Convoy of Hope will provide one to an at-need member of the community and volunteers will provide free groceries, hot meals, haircuts, health and job fairs and activities for kids.
Last year over 10,000 people attended the event.
"It is a time they can get away," says Jeff Nene of Convoy of Hope. "They have gone through the anniversary where all those memories come back up and the Unity walk was great. Now it is time for a full day of fun. Just a great time away from the pressure and all those memories."
The City of Joplin has declared May 26th as Convoy of Hope Day in recognition of the organizations efforts since the tornado.
