Next Joplin Memorial Run scheduled for May 18, 2013

Thanks to this year's big turnout at the Joplin Memorial Run the committee in charge of organizing the event has already designated May 18th as the date for next year's run.

Nearly 3,000 runners took part in this year's run and donated nearly $3,000 to tornado recovery efforts.

The money was raised from charity bibs runners purchased.

Next year's event will once again consist of a half marathon, 5K, and kids run.
