Joplin daycare/preschool reopens after being destroyed in tornado

Building back better and stronger, that's the sentiment of Wee Tots Daycare and Preschool owner Marye Lallemand.

A ribbon cutting was held Tuesday for the center once destroyed by the tornado.

Lallemand says this time they had a safe room for staff and kids with concrete block construction.

She says she spent the past year gathering supplies like cribs and toys.

"Words can not express how I feel - been a long year so just glad to be back," says Lallemand.

The current 10 students celebrated the day with cake and song.

The daycare has a capacity for 40 children.
