Camp teaches kids how to cope after natural disasters

Updated:

Camp Noah held its first official day of camp in Joplin today.  The organization comes to towns after natural disasters to teach kids how to cope and move forward in a very safe and healthy way.

"We have a curriculum that teaches kids how to move on and process what they have been through last summer in a very healthy way," says camp coordinator Tiffany Falley.

This camp is for kids entering the 1st  through 5th grades, and is being held at Martin Luther School through the 29th, and also July 16 to the 20th.  The camps are free to everyone but space is limited.

"It's just so good that they are helping kids do what they need to do and just get over with tornado stuff," says camper Cassy Falley.

Camp Noah is also holding another camp at Mount Hope from July 2nd to the 6th.
