PARSONS, KS — Due to the extreme heat advisory that is predicted through the end of the week, the City of Parsons has announced that a cooling shelter will be open starting tomorrow.
Individuals, of any age, who need a place to cool off can go to the Parsons Senior Center at 1800 Belmont. The shelter will be open during the Center's regular hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Sorry, no pets are allowed at the cooling center, only service animals.
