
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon visited Joplin's Chamber of Commerce office to sign a new bill aimed at helping small businesses make new jobs.
The small businesses are classified as those with fewer than 50 employees.
To be eligible for the tax deductions small businesses must create jobs that employ workers for at least 52 weeks.
Governor Nixon says the tax deductions will cost about $6 million each fiscal year.
